I don't think his portraits quite capture whatever it was that he had, and there must have been more of an attraction than the mere fact of his being king. In my head, twenty four hours was not long enough to go everywhere and do everything I wanted to, but in reality ten minutes would probably have been too long. Imagination is a wonderful tool :-) Happy Christmas!Annie Whiteheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11028691371545306450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4311063131188554905.post-75607565956235775372017-12-21T17:40:58.765-08:002017-12-21T17:40:58.765-08:00Love it! I'm assured by those who know that the teeth of Anglo-Saxon skeletons show the enamel to be worn down, and that the gritty bread was one of the major causes. It was often the case that because of poor harvests they had to grind other stuff besides wheat, so that might have been a contributing factor. I'd love to taste one of your loaves!Annie Whiteheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11028691371545306450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4311063131188554905.post-14480726146732440702017-12-20T12:13:10.582-08:002017-12-20T12:13:10.582-08:00I regularly grind spelt wheat on a rotary quern, I...I regularly grind spelt wheat on a rotary quern, I can assure you it is as fine as shop bought, and unless the quern runs dry of grain there is no grit in it. and it makes wonderful bread bolden jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06722394410868812861noreply@blogger.com
