This church is certa...Wow - what a lovely article. This church is certainly on my list. I often go into a church to look for evidence that it's origins were Anglo-Saxon. My suspicion is that many churches still contain AS masonry , now hidden by later additions. If such tiny villages (for example, Waterden, also in Norfolk) could afford a stone built church, then most places could do so.
